Chobe River Birds Safari Guide
The Chobe river attracts many species of birds throughout the year. Over 400 species of Chobe River birds have been recorded!
Lilac Breasted Roller at the Chobe National Park The birds are a mixture of inland and water birds , as well as resident and migrant birds. The migrant water birds can be seen from October to march.This is when water and food are abundant in Chobe.
Most of these were migrant water birds like the Egyptian Duck attracted by the abundant water and food supply . Many other bird species can be found inland within the Chobe National Park. So the best way to experience a complete birding safari in Kasane is to take both a game drive in the Chobe National Park and a boat cruise on the Chobe River. Below are some pictures i took while bird watching on my Chobe vacation .
